Fresh developments have emerged from the ongoing House of Representatives investigation into the alleged fake government agency, with the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Investigative Committee, Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, raising questions over the authenticity of an appointment letter presented during the hearing.
Speaking during the legislative probe, Gagdi reportedly expressed concerns about the document presented by an individual identified as Matthew Adeniyi, who allegedly claimed to be the Director-General of the organisation.
The committee chairman further stated that the evidence presented before the committee had not established any credible link between the alleged agency and the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila.
According to the lawmaker, the investigation remains focused on uncovering the facts surrounding the alleged agency, verifying the documents presented and determining those responsible for its operations.
The hearing also featured testimonies from senior government officials, including the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation and the Accountant-General of the Federation, who reportedly raised concerns about the legality and activities of the organisation.
As the investigation continues, public attention remains focused on the committee’s findings, with Nigerians awaiting its final report and recommendations on the matter.
